🔍 Root Causes of Hair Issues

  • Underlying Health: Treating surface symptoms without addressing gut, hormones, or stress won’t help long-term.
  • Modern Lifestyle: Poor diet, stress, pollution, and rushed living lead to faster aging and hair fall.

🧪 Key Internal Health Factors

  1. Gut Health

    • Poor digestion → poor nutrient absorption → hair loss
    • Fix acidity, bloating, IBS, constipation for hair recovery

  2. Hormonal Imbalance

    • Imbalances (e.g., PCOS, menopause) affect hair growth
    • Linked to estrogen, testosterone, prolactin, progesterone

  3. Thyroid & Autoimmune Health

    • Hypothyroidism and high TPO/ATG can trigger patchy hair loss (Alopecia)
    • Often linked with gut issues, gluten/dairy intolerance, stress

  4. Vitamin & Mineral Deficiencies

    • Check levels of:

      • D3, B12, Biotin, Zinc, Iron, Ferritin, A, E, B-Complex
      • Also: Calcium, Phosphorus, Selenium, Potassium, Sodium

🌿 Lifestyle Fixes

  • Diet: Prioritize real, whole foods (fruits, nuts, lean protein, seeds); avoid fad diets
  • Stress: Major cause of early greying and hair loss; manage via meditation, lifestyle changes
  • Shampoos/Chemicals: Avoid harsh cosmetics; switch to essential oil-based or chemical-free products
  • Oiling: Regular use of coconut, sesame, or castor oil nourishes follicles
  • Exercise: Increases blood flow to scalp; yoga and inversions help
  • Sleep: Deep sleep (“Vitamin S”) is crucial for hair regeneration
  • Swimming: Chlorine damages hair – wear a cap to protect

Personal Notes and Reflections:

I have been undergoing hair treatment for a couple of months now. It is a combination of PRP, Vitamin Supplements and Minoxidil. I have seen a significant improvement for myself personally.

Though I should have made diet changes I have not been very consistent with this regards. I am still on the treatment.
